“The One Industry Most Consultants Should Avoid…”

.
After many years of direct experience and observations of other marketing consultants, I can honestly say that there is a niche that 99% of marketing consultants should avoid.

The industry I’m talking about is the medical industry niche.

Why do I feel that strongly?

It’s simple.

Generally speaking most doctors, dentists, chiropractors etc., think very differently about money and marketing than the average marketing consultant.

Here’s what I mean:

1. Most doctors have a deep desire to help their patients solve a pressing problem.

While on the other hand, alot of consultants and offline marketers are 99% focused on the money only.

Yes, we need money and it’s how we keep score in the game of business.

However, you must first have a deep desire to solve your clients problems and find solutions. Without that, you’re just a sales shark and your days are numbered.

2. Doctors stick to systems and step-by-step blueprints that produce predictable results.

While on the other hand, most consultants and offline marketers can barely finish one product or training before jumping to another with no connecting strategy between the two.

And those are just two differences.

There are many more.

Now can you see why I say most doctors are wired differently than the average consultant and offline marketer?

The truth is that working with doctors in the medical niche is a high stakes game.

Yes, you can make a boatload of money, but you can also instantly get a terrible reputation in the medical community in your target market by just chasing dollars.

So what’s the solution?

You have to really study their practice, find target markets to go after and come up with legally compliant marketing campaigns to implement.

Is it worth it.

Heck, yeah it is!

But you have to approach the medical niche like a true marketing and business professional.

You’re not dealing with a plumber, hvac contractor or even a restaurant owner who might be able to overlook a ton of flaws in your consulting practice.

Doctors think differently.

That’s why you need to have your act together before you even “think” of approaching this niche.

You need to make sure you have your house in order AND all of your expert positioning pieces in place like:

– Well designed consulting website
– Polished and professional marketing materials
– Office phone number
– Professional proposal template
– Practiced presentations
– Positioning tools and resources
– Blueprint of effective strategies for medical niches

If you don’t have those in place, then you might want to hold off on the medical niche until you are prepared for success.

There are alot of niches you can “dabble” in.

All I’m saying is that the medical industry is not one of them.

If you don’t have your act together, then you may want to sit this one out.

Just saying.
