The 5 Reasons Why You Should Tackle 3-5 Medical Niches At One Time

.

One of the worst fears that most consultants secretly nurture is the fear of spending a ton of time, effort and money targeting a niche that doesn’t produce a steady stream of paying clients.

Thus leaving them with nothing to show for all of the hundreds of hours of writing niche specific blog posts, webpages emails and tons of work that it takes to become a industry leader.

Plus not to mention all of the thousands of dollars in wasted marketing that didn’t produce paying clients.

It’s no wonder that most consultants cringe and refuse to focus on one industry.

That’s why over the years, through trial and error, I’ve developed a unique approach to niche marketing.

It’s unorthodox and in fact it appears that I’m not picking a niche at all, but in reality, I’m doing it in a stress free, risk minimized and effective way.

The crux of my new niche targeting methodology is based on selecting between 3-5 closely related niches and quickly testing their viability in under 90 days and preferably in 30 days or less.

So that means within the dental niche, I’d target the following types of practices:

– Periodontist
– Cosmetic dentists
– Prosthodontist

There are several reasons why I developed this methodology, but the fact of the matter is that it gives me the best chance to find a winning niche in the shortest amount of time.

So today I want to share with you the top five reasons why I no longer advise consultants to target one niche, but to target between three and five.

Yes, I realize that goes against conventional wisdom, but hear me out and I think you’ll see that I make a compelling case.

Reason #1: It’s less risky than focusing on one niche.

When a consultant picks one niche, all of their hopes, dreams and aspirations hinge on that niche being successful. That’s why when a niche doesn’t work out it’s catastrophic for the consultant.

Many consultants even go back and get a job because they spent all of their money, time and resources on that one niche and now they have nothing left.

However, when a consultant targets three to five subniches within a niche in a strategic way that I teach, they’ll not only decrease their risk, they’ll dramatically increase their chances of success.

Reason #2: If you pick sub-niches within a niche, you’ll start to notice trends and be able to leverage that knowledge.

One of the most powerful side benefits of picking several sub-niches within a medical niche is that you’ll start to gain a more intimate and comprehensive perspective of all the niches.

This knowledge will prove to be invaluable to you and your clients as you move forward.

More importantly, I guarantee you that 99% of consultants will never gain the knowledge that you’ll have because they’re singlular in their niche targeting approach.

Meanwhile you’re hitting a major niche from several different angles and reaping the rewards.

Reason #3: It removes the pressure from having to hit a homerun in the one niche that you’re targeting.

When you know that you are only focused on one niche, there’s intense mental pressure to make that niche work out.

Sometimes consultants don’t even fully commit to the niche because they just can’t overcome the pressure of having all their eggs in one basket.

That changes when you have a foothold in several lucrative niches.

Also there’s something reasurring about knowing that have several chances to succeed in several niches that is liberating to many consultants.

That’s why targeting three to five related subniches is a beter way to niche down instead of having the pressure of trying to hit a homerun with one pitch.

Reason #4: You develop a working system for quickly setting up real systems to test the viability of niches.

One weird benefit that I could’ve never anticipated back when I started using this methodology is that I’d now able to easily test any 3-5 niches in 7-14 days.

See by forcing myself to test multiple niches quickly and at the same time I’ve been able to establish the systems and stamina to do it over and over again.

So now it’s nothing for me to pick three niches on a lazy sunday afternoon and have the entire funnels setup by Wednesday and running traffic by Thursday.

And I’m able to generate strategy sessions calls because I use a set of seven email templates to drive the test traffic I’m getting to a strategy session offer.

That way even if the niche is not viable, I’m still able to get two or three deals over the course of my testing.

That’s how you can win even when you’re losing.

Reason #5: It prevents you from falling in love with just one niche by forcing you to spread the love between several niches.

Sometimes as consultants we idolize and glorify certain niches because other consultants or guru’s have had success in those niches.

However every consultant, geographic area and local industry is unique and doesn’t guarantee your success just because others have had success in those areas.

The best way to approach any niche or niches is to work a proven system without getting emotionally attached to any niche.

And one of the best ways that I know to do this is to attack a group of niches at one time so that you’re forced to

Hopefully by now you’re starting to see why I now teach my students to find three to five subniches with a niche. It’s a huge difference between hitching your wagon to one star and hoping for the best.

Lastly let me address the 800lb guerilla in the room.

What if you pick 3-5 niches and none of them work out?

Well besides the fact that I’ve never went 0 for 3 or 5, let’s assume that you do.

If you you follow my entire methodology, then even in a worst case scenario, you’ve just done three things:

1. You’ve proven to yourself that you can quickly pick and target multiple niches at one time. So there’s no need to go back to doing it the slow and one-off way.

2. You’ve just fine-tuned a system that allows you to completely blanket a niche with your marketing messages and get your offers in front of target prospects in a major way.

3. You have all the landing pages and email templates that you can now re-purpose and quickly customize and use for other niches.

So you can see that even in a worst case scenario, you can still come out ahead by using a multiple niche approach methodology.
